To ensure the long life of your baking dishes, never put pottery on an open flame or electric range burner. Avoid thermal shock: extreme temperature changes will weaken the clay body. Let the pottery preheat with the oven, and don't use a plate directly from the fridge or freezer in the microwave. The pottery can handle any oven temperature once it has warmed evenly.
